it's my opinion that with computers, CGI, etc, we can see the comics we read in the 50's and 60's, etc, come to life. it's childish and selfish and nostalgic, but fans of those years (like me) to now have always wanted to see the comics on film. i'm closing on my late fifties, but i've always wanted to see Thor on film, and i still want to see Doctor Strange.

Legislation of Biblical Proportions: Can We Really Have an 'Academic' Study of the Bible in Public Schools?
and, just for your info, i was brought up in the Church of Christ. i've read the Bible daily and ruminated over it for more years than i care to think. and i was reading newspapers and classical mythology before i ever started school.
we need doctors. we need scientists
about two years ago i lost my right leg to diabetes. the doctors have wanted to take the left leg since last November. there's an epidemic of diabetes within the public school system nationwide right now.
as has been widely said, God doesn't heal amputees, although reptiles, amphibians and even flatworms get the Divine nod of the head.
instead of studying the Bible, we need immediate solutions to what's wrong. there are diseases to be cured, energy sources to be found and developed, creativity
i cannot agree to the Bible in public schools until more important things are taken care of.

i also worry about the New Madrid area in the Central US. go back and check on the quakes of 1812, and see what would happen now.
i'm not sure, but i'd tend to believe that (1) either there's a hot spot under the crust, such as created the Hawaiian Islands, or (2) a rift valley might be trying to open, much like the one that starts at the Sinai-Red Sea Junction and goes south through Africa.
2-3 months ago, i saw a homeland security report revealing concern for adequate emergency supplies, in case another 'New Madrid' series of quakes occur. that doesn't sound very optimistic to me.
