on August 11, 1999, there was a total eclipse of the sun that crossed Europe, including France, where Nostradamu­s lived and was always concerned with. such eclipses had always raised superstiti­ous fears throughout the world, although for many now they're sources of awe and wonder, with no fear attached.



if Anguomois (i forget the spelling) was a name he gave for France, it indicated they would become important on the world scene then or shortly after. i don't remember the French political scene at the time, so i won't comment. Mars, in this case 'ruling for the good cause', is the god of war. at that time we were involved, with NATO, in the Serbian conflict and ethnic cleansing by Slobodivan Milosevitc­h.



the seventh month of course is July, but if the additional ten days taken from the Julian calendar are replaced, we find that he was one day short of predicting the total solar eclipse of August 11, 1999, which crossed France at the same time NATO and the United States were involved with the former Yugoslavia and its components­.
