Sarah Palin: American Law Should Be 'Based On The God Of The Bible And The Ten Commandments'

"Correctly stated", my butt.

Only as a response to Communism, the bugaboo of the past fifty years.

This was when, among other things, Jews and blacks were considered 'Commie Stooges' and were attacked if they were suspected of being in allegiance to the Communist bloc. This was the time of the blacklist and the McCarthy witch-hunts that literally destroyed people without proof being shown.

This was when the words 'Under God' were inserted into a loyalty oath called the 'Pledge of Allegiance', which had served the country already for nearly sixty years without those two words. It certainly served without them during two World Wars.

This was when a 'National Day of Prayer' was formally instituted, having been only proclaimed twice before in our history.

I haveta admit, it DID respect the 'religious traditions of our people' by putting Japanese-Americans into concentration camps. And it DID follow them--specifically Saint Paul's 'ideals'--by maintaining Jim Crow Laws that kept blacks in servitude.

That just shows that the 'traditions' weren't those of Jesus. As always, action proved the truth: Jesus is ignored, while the Old Testament and books after the Bible are used to harm others.

The most that's accurate is that the majority of the American People are religious. The fact that 'their' religion persecutes, maims, enslaves and kills others is part and parcel of it.
