Sarah Palin: American Law Should Be 'Based On The God Of The Bible And The Ten Commandments'

"Correctly stated", my butt.

That court decision was part of a parcel of crap in response to the bugaboo of Soviet Communism.

That was the time blacks and Jews were suspected of being Commie Stooges and were physically assaulted (or worse) because of it.

That was during the days of the McCarthy Witch-Hunts that literally destroyed people without any proof being shown.

It was the time that the words "under God" were put into a loyalty oath called The Pledge Of Allegiance, which had already served for sixty years and two World Wars.

That was during the days of the blacklist that destroyed other lives.

The most honest thing stated was that the American people were "religious." They were. . .so religious, in fact, that they had put Japanese-Americans in concentration camps and kept Jim Crow Laws active to keep blacks in servitude and disenfranchised.

Yeah, just like now, they're religious. They ignore everything Jesus said and only pay attention to the books before and after the Gospels.

I would respectfully submit that you talk to some people--preferably minorities--who lived then, read some history and make the attempt to put yourself in their shoes.

I'm not an atheist, not by a long shot, but this brand of so-called 'religion' makes it mighty tempting sometimes.
