Libya Protests: Dozens Killed As Anti-Gaddafi Protests Continue


perhaps some of these countries want to see what happens before they say anything.



if they say something and things go wrong, it could turn bad for them. if they say nothing and things turn wrong, no one turns on them (theoretic­ally).



they want to see 'which way the frog jumps', as Twain or Heinlein would have said, before committing themselves­. not very noble, but safer.



for other countries, it could just be that it doesn't affect them. they may have more pressing problems within their own borders, which doesn't give them the luxury of philosophi­zing on current world affairs.



and, of course, some may reject these movements out of hand.
