just watched 'Five Characters In Search Of An Exit', from Season 3 of the original Twilight Zone.

a soldier, a hobo, a clown, a bagpiper and a ballet dancer were all trapped in a doorless, windowless, roofless structure, and they couldn't get out.

each man stood on top of the other's shoulders, until finally the ballet dancer climbed up the men to try to reach the edge of their prison.
