Stewart Hammers Conservatives For Hypocritical Obama-Bush Comparisons (VIDEO)

Greg, the Republican Party picks fights with Jesus.

Nearly all the theology or religious morality of the right comes from either the Old Testament or post-Gospel books of the New Testament. Nothing about what Jesus himself said; just lip service to the name.

Jesus never said a damn thing about anything the right holds so dear, save fornication (adultery), which prominent members of the right get caught at frequently. He said that's the only reason for divorce; but the right would make divorce impossible for anyone besides themselves.

And a cursory study of the Gospels would show that he hated hypocrites. Which pretty much messes up a lot of the conservatives, rank and file.

NOTE: some are carrying the 'End Of The World' placard. Religious groups have been lobbying for Israel in past years because it's necessary for Jesus to return. They also expect the Israeli population to be converted. James Watt, Reagan's Secretary of the Interior, used to pray for the Second Coming every day. It's pervasive enough in conservative thought that some oppose measures to combat global warming, overpopulation and such, ""because Jesus is coming and it won't matter any more".
