I used to watch televangelists for comic relief, watching them smack people upside the head to heal their cancer. . .watching them pray over handkerchiefs. . .watching them separating the pledges sent in by the senile and stupid; separating those pledges by the amount of money promised. . .

C-SPAN and C-SPAN2 also became a major source of entertainment, as I watched and listened to politicians from one side curse the other in the most roundabout manner, using rhetoric and drama worthy of the ancient Greek playwrights.

Ah, but now we have FOX News. . .a wonderful new source of fantasy and fun. . .O'Reilly, Ingraham, Hannity. . .so very many to choose from. . .and the cherry on top of the cake is Glenn Beck.

I still harbor suspicions that he's really Louis Farrakhan in whiteface.
