Eric Holder: Miranda Rights Should Be Modified For Terrorism Suspects

Frankly, Xarnego, I think the whole Administration has tried too much to be bipartisan, while their opponents refuse to even consider merit from anything the Administration says or does.

They'd repeatedly tried to bring the right on board to the extent of even watering down things they should have been inflexible about. They've modified their own stances over and over, and they still get vilified by the right.

To me, Holder's new attitude is just another symptom of this need to reach out, even if misguided on several fronts. It's needed and it's highly laudable, but there comes a time when you have to just give up and deal with reality while the baby holds its breath and passes out. After all, once the baby's passed out the autonomic reflexes kick in and it'll start breathing again.

And if they don't. . .well, in this case, no big loss, except the Teabaggers will take over. And that would be an even worse problem.
